Executive Director, IAUM
The Executive Director (ED) at InsuranceAUM is responsible for leading the strategic vision into operational success and managing the company’s core functions. This role focuses on driving efficiency, scalability, and excellence across all areas of the business while ensuring alignment with the company’s and The Institute’s goals and maintaining its reputation for high-quality content, programming, and engagement. The ED will also prioritize integrating key organizational goals and strategic initiatives to optimize performance across functions.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Execution
Implement operational plans that align with the company’s and The Institute’s strategic objectives.
Responsible for the organization’s financial health – responsible for creating annual budgets and 3-year plans, as well as managing expenses and meeting pre-determined annual revenue goals.
Establish and monitor KPIs across all channels to track performance and success.
Establish and maintain framework to allow operational agility and innovation while not disrupting operational priorities.
Develop and maintain a 12-month organizational calendar, incorporating annual milestones and strategic goals.
Lead annual strategic planning efforts maintaining a rolling 3-year plan
Media Operations
Oversee the production and delivery of all educational content, ensuring high-quality and consistent output.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotional strategies with content objectives, including compliance campaigns and education initiatives.
Optimize website stability, improve development processes, and direct any changes to the marketing platform.
Optimize core analytics to drive operational prioritizations and deliver customer value.
Education Programs
Manage the development, delivery, and promotion of the Chartered Insurance Asset Manager (CIIM) designation program.
Collaborate with The Institutes to ensure the CIIM delivery is seamless, with foundational lessons scheduled and project tracking mechanisms in place.
Support education expansion strategies, targeting new audiences to optimize traffic results.
Event Management
Plan, execute, and continuously improve in-person and virtual events, ensuring exceptional participant and sponsor experiences.
Support integrated event marketing initiatives, define responsibilities across the team, and ensure project management structures are in place.
Complete successful execution of major events while planning and promoting materials for subsequent events and implementing additional events as defined by executive team.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across departments.
Mentor team members, develop organizational clarity, and manage transitions in roles to optimize team performance.
Ensure cross-training, maintenance of SOPs/training materials, and other relevant resource contingency plans are in place.
Onboard new talent, including interns, to address gaps in team resources.
Client (GP) Engagement & Revenue Growth
Support prospecting, sales, retention and upsell efforts by emphasizing client value propositions, ensuring renewals meet or exceed targets.
Oversee client success initiatives, including onboarding, strategic marketing guidance, tracking and reporting to enhance stewardship and engagement.
Insurer (CIO/LP) Engagement and Membership Growth
Oversee CIO/LP success initiatives, including establishing membership bylaws, comprehensive community/membership benefits, LP Co-Chairs for each event, and expanded insurer involvement
Organizational Development
Support budgeting and performance management by establishing a regular cadence of MONTLHY financial reporting.
Support budgeting and performance management by establishing a regular validation of priorities and strategic goal-setting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps in technology maturity, HR processes, and risk mitigation measures.
Align team efforts with annual company goals. Establish monthly tracking and reporting systems.
