The Lead Phlebotomist ensures donor suitability and product integrity while supervising donor room staff and maintaining compliance with FDA and SOP guidelines. Responsibilities include assigning staff sections, managing breaks, training new personnel, and overseeing facility cleanliness.
A high school diploma is required, and a phlebotomy certification or health-related education is preferred. Candidates must be able to operate basic computer systems and Nexsys PCS equipment while meeting physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

The Lead Plasma Center Specialist/Phlebotomist operates under the direct supervision of the Center Management team, and at times will take instruction from the Physician Substitute on site. The lead phlebotomist will ensure donor suitability, product integrity and the continued good health of donors through the compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual guidelines and any other applicable regulatory standards.
Shifts include working every Saturday.
