The Senior Consultant is responsible for managing a book of 20-40 accounts while acting as a subject matter expert for clients and internal teams. They oversee carrier placement, ensure E&O liability compliance, and provide leadership coaching to associates.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or finance, along with at least 8 years of experience in the insurance or brokerage industry. Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills are required, as well as the ability to travel for business.
• Responsible for 20-40 total accounts, with assistance from an Account Coordinator or Senior Account Coordinator
• Seen as Subject Matter Expert by core teams and/or clients, as well as team members, carrier partners and Lockton leadership
• Oversees full office/series book of business to ensure timelines are met, carrier placement metrics are in line and no E&O liability
• Point of contact for escalations related to case specific questions/issues
• Responsibility related to growth (build relationship and working parameters with growth team)
• Responsibility related to management and associate development, with leadership coaching
• Proven ability to take initiative in terms of innovation and growth
• Promotes and supports new practice initiatives
• Able to peer review all deliverables
• Manages carrier relationships at a local level
• Provides input related to overall practice business plan
• Overall book of business management and staffing
• Collaboration across series/offices with regards to marketing, placement and policy management
• Able and willing to share knowledge gained across the practice to promote better collaboration
• Involved in Series Stewardship reporting and delivering of results
• Assistance with process efficiency projects and future practice initiatives
• Completes Phase 3 of Audits
• Represents Lockton in any situation with high standards
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field with heavy emphasis in marketing and finance, or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of insurance/broker industry experience, specifically in consulting or account management.
• Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills required
• Current required licenses or ability to immediately obtain.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be available for travel for client/team meetings.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
