The Registered Nurse is responsible for the systematic assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit. This includes managing invasive monitoring and specialized cardiac equipment while acting as a patient advocate.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario, hold BCLS certification, and have two years of recent cardiology experience. Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course and previous CICU/ICU experience are required.

As a member of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) team, the Registered Nurse will practice in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
