Provide onsite clinical supervision, coaching, and assessment to learners during advanced foot care placements. Deliver instruction in lab or theory settings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
Requires a diploma or bachelor's degree in nursing with active licensure and Advanced Foot Care Practice Authorization. Must have recent experience in advanced foot care nursing and a valid Police Information Clearance.
NorQuesters are difference makers, and we’re looking for someone dedicated to finding ways forward to join our School of Applied Health Sciences as an Instructor in our Advanced Foot Care (AFC) post-diploma certificate program.
The AFC program equips nurses with the theoretical knowledge and hands‑on skills required to deliver safe, evidence‑informed foot care. Learners complete asynchronous online modules followed by in‑person labs and supervised clinical placements.
We are currently seeking instructors with a strong interest in clinical practicum teaching, including direct supervision of learners in community and clinical environments. Our clinical practicums take place over 2-3 days in the Edmonton region. Applicants who are also interested in contributing to theory or lab instruction are welcome, and assignments may be matched to your strengths and experience.
Our instructors take pride in making a positive impact on the lives of the students they teach. You will join a collaborative academic community that thrives on energy, motivation, and dedication to the success of both our students and colleagues.
Our students come to us with the goals of improving their lives and the lives of those around them. Join us and help them achieve their goals.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
Provide onsite clinical supervision, coaching, and assessment to learners during advanced foot care placements.
Support students in applying advanced foot care theory, assessment skills, and evidence‑based practices in real‑world settings.
Maintain clear, timely documentation of learner progress, competencies, and clinical performance.
Collaborate with clinical partners to ensure safe, supportive, and high‑quality learning environments.
Deliver instruction in lab or theory settings and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
Integrate demonstrations, supervised practice, and simulation‑based learning into instructional activities.
Foster professional, inclusive communication and strong relationships with students, staff, and patients.
Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, including the use of learning management systems and instructional design tools.
Assignments may include clinical, lab, or theory components depending on program needs and instructor expertise, with clinical instruction being the primary focus for this recruitment.
WHAT YOU BRING
Diploma or bachelor's degree in nursing
Active nursing licensure with CLHA or CRNA with Advanced Foot Care Practice Authorization
Recent experience in advanced foot care nursing practice
Experience teaching in a post-secondary institute is an asset

WHAT MAKES YOU A DIFFERENCE MAKER? As a difference maker you bring:
Strong clinical judgment to make timely, safe, and policy‑aligned decisions that support both patient care and learner success.
