Full job description
At Canada Diagnostic Centres, we are driven by helping Canadians access diagnostic services and providing remarkable experiences to our patients every day. Our care is compassionate, accurate and timely to help patients make progress in their health journey. We live by a mantra of “Remarkable Care. Remarkable Careers.”
We are currently looking for certified, or soon to be certified, temporary X-Ray Technologists (Medical Radiation Technologists) to join our expanding outpatient clinics in a full-time or part-time position for 6 months. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Perform X-Ray Exams: Conduct standardized and complex imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and cross-train in additional modalities such as Bone Mineral Density, Mammography, or specialized procedures in Fluoroscopy.
Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track X-Ray equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
X-Ray Experience: Clinical competency in radiography with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
Specialized Knowledge: Exposure to mammography with CAMRT Breast Imaging 1 or equivalent, is an asset. Exposure to fluoroscopy, bone mineral density or interventional X-Ray procedures is also valuable.
A Compassionate Approach: A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay: Industry-leading wages and unique additional earning opportunities.
Generous Time Off: Vacation, personal days, sick leave, and paid time off for your birthday.
Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program.
Learning & Development: Specialized training opportunities.
Professional Licensing Support: Funding for CAMRT and ACMDTT, or CSCLXT and ACCLXT, memberships and insurance.
Additional Information
Position Types: TEMPORARY Full-time or part-time options to align with your schedule and career goals. Part-time schedules include three or four fixed days per week, depending on FTE.
Contract Length: 6 months.
Contract Start: Flexible
Work Location: Clinic assignments will be discussed during the candidacy process and guided by operational needs and professional development, with preferences considered where possible.
Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with CAMRT and ACMDTT, or CSCLXT & ACCLXT is required.
Students and Recent Graduates: Applications welcome.
