Deliver high-quality patient care and support clients with professionalism and compassion. Assist with various medical, surgical, and dental procedures within an AAHA-accredited practice.
Requirements
Must possess an AHT/VT Diploma and be a Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible for registration. Requires a passion for animal care, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn.
Full job description
Across Canada, VetStrategy is a network of veterinary practices united by a shared purpose: healthy animals, happy owners.
We bring this to life through three promises:
Our People Promise – To be a great place to work.
Our Customer Promise – To deliver world-class veterinary care, locally.
Our Sustainability Promise – To be a force for good.
Guided by our values—We Care, We Dare, We Share—we prioritize well-being, embrace challenges, and foster collaboration. Rooted in passion and compassion, we support our people, patients, their families, and our communities. Humble and approachable, we achieve more together.
Lessard Callingwood Veterinary Hospital Ltd. is looking to add a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team of long-term, experienced veterinarians, RVTs, VMAs, and CSRs. We are proud of our strong clinic culture, with fresh energy that creates the perfect environment for growth, collaboration, and innovation.
As an AAHA-accredited small animal practice located in west Edmonton, our hospital offers a supportive atmosphere with regular team meetings, ongoing continuing education, and mentorship opportunities. We are easily accessible from Whitemud Freeway and Anthony Henday Drive and are equipped with Vetup software, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiography.
Join a team where you can make a meaningful impact every day in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (or eligible candidate) who is passionate about animal care, enjoys working in a team environment, and is eager to grow their skills. In this role, you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting clients with compassion and professionalism, and assisting with a variety of medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Candidates with an interest in anesthesia would be a strong fit.
What We Offer
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive compensation package including group benefits (medical, dental, and disability)
Professional Support: Paid CE, CE hours, annual RVT dues, and ongoing mentorship opportunities
Work Environment: Supportive team culture with regular team meetings and a collaborative atmosphere
Additional Perks: Scrub and footwear allowance and opportunities for continued growth within the clinic
Why You Will Love Working Here
AAHA-accredited hospital with a strong focus on quality patient care
Experienced and supportive team with a positive clinic culture
Access to modern equipment including in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, and dental suite
Opportunities for mentorship, learning, and professional development
Convenient west Edmonton location with easy access
What You Will Bring
AHT/VT Diploma
Registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Veterinary Technician
Passion for animal care and commitment to high-quality patient care
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic clinical environment
Submit your application through the job posting or email [email protected] and become part of a team where you can truly grow, contribute, and thrive.
Do not miss out on this unique opportunity to join a fun and dynamic team! VetStrategy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process. If you require accommodation, please reach out to [email protected].
Being part of VetStrategy is about being part of something bigger – an ever-growing community, where we connect person-to-person and skill-to-need, united by a common purpose of healthy animals, happy owners. From our humble beginning in 2006 to the present day, we continue to make a difference in the lives of people who have dedicated themselves to this industry.
When VetStrategy co-founders Orin Litman and his wife, Dr. Michelle Cutler, decided to acquire McLean Animal Hospital in 2006, they focused on three promises – our Customer Promise of world-class veterinary care, delivered locally; our People Promise, to be a great place to work; and our Sustainability Promise to be a force for good for patients, people and our plant.
Keeping our three promises led VetStrategy to become the leading veterinary network in Canada, with veterinary practices, 24-hour emergency care, and specialty hospitals coast-to-coast. We have developed and refined a model for supporting our practices across the country.
What we do:
We care for those dedicated to caring for animals by creating a workplace where we focus on innovation, engagement, and teamwork.
We know the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into building each practice, and we don’t want to touch that – we truly embrace the uniqueness of each clinic. Our heritage first approach means we won’t change a clinic’s name, culture or heritage.
We understand the challenges our veterinary teams face and are committed to doing what’s right – for them, their clients, and their patients.
We care about the future of veterinary medicine. Everything we do comes back to ensuring that veterinarians have the time, support, and infrastructure to focus on responsible medicine and quality care.
We believe in empowering our support office and clinic staff and providing them opportunities to develop their skills and grow in their careers.
