Music Therapy Fellowship
About the Job:
Location: Starshine Home Health and the Burnet Campus
Status: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week. 12-month fellowship placement.
Schedule: Will vary depending on clinical coverage needs and may include evening hours.

This fellowship program is designed to be an entry‐level professional position, where the fellow will work as part of a team of experienced clinicians throughout a variety of units in a pediatric healthcare setting while benefiting from continued clinical supervision and education.
Fellows are employees of the institution and as such will follow the same policy and guideline expectations as all division staff. The fellowship is structured to provide an educational opportunity for a board-certified and state licensed music therapist interested in further training and development of music therapy skills in a pediatric healthcare environment.
While working alongside professional Music Therapists, the fellow will work to provide care that addresses the developmental and psychosocial needs of a diverse population of infants, children, adolescents, young adults and their families at CCHMC.
Responsibilities of Job:
Attend educational in-services to enhance learning in core competency areas related to music therapy.
Meet with direct supervisor and members of the music therapy team to set goals, assess progress, and process clinical experiences.
Function independently to provide music therapy services as needed throughout the institution.

Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills to handle projects and clinical caseload independently.
Physical Stamina and Capability: Capable of bending, lifting, and standing; demonstrate physical ability to perform necessary tasks; physical stamina sufficient to perform the above physical demands of the job alongside extensive standing/walking; reliable car for transportation.
