The Solar Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and skid-steers according to project requirements. They must also perform routine maintenance, ensure site cleanliness, and adhere to all safety regulations.
Candidates must have at least one year of related experience and possess the necessary equipment certifications and a valid driver's license. The role requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and the capacity to interpret safety manuals and load charts.

SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an Solar Operator that will be responsible for operating equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:
Bobcat/Skid-steer
B. Follow prescribed safety regulations
C. Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
D. Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
E. Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
F. Follow work plans and pre-task cards
G. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
H. All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
