Responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures using various welding techniques and equipment. Tasks include interpreting blueprints, performing quality control, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication. Candidates must be proficient in welding safety, filler selection, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees must be able to talk and hear and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and very loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
