Prepare vehicles for painting through sanding, grinding, and filling dents to ensure a high-quality surface. Perform body repairs, apply primers, and execute final buffing and polishing to meet quality standards.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with previous experience in automotive paint and preparation. Candidates must be able to operate air tools and adhere to OSHA and EPA safety standards.
Job Summary:
Prepare vehicles for paint by functions such as sanding, light body work, taping, and chemically washing items to achieve a quality painting surface.
Responsibilities:
Occasionally perform body work of repairing holes, major dents and other general body work functions.
Buffing and polishing to obtain an acceptable quality of the finished product.
