Job Summary:
MOR PPM Inc. is seeking qualified Pipe Welders in Salisbury, NC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Executing pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
Reading and interpreting blueprints and procedures
Measure, cut, and fabricate material according to specifications
Repair/Install/Replace piping or pipe components according to specifications
Fabricate and install piping using brazing, soldering, tig, mig, stick, and flux core welding
Examining previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defects
Prepare welding surfaces for a welding operation by cutting and shaping materials using hand and power tools
Communicate with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and project needs
Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materials
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools
Adhere to all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and other task related safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
Have a complete set of tools appropriate for Industrial pipe fitting/welding
Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
Perform work at heights
Perform and pass pipe coupon weld test
At least 4 years Pipe welding preferably in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
Must have full range of motion consistent with age
Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
