The Harness Technician is responsible for assembling boats based on specific construction orders in compliance with takt times. A variety of tasks are performed to build the components of each boat, requiring the use of both power and non-power hand tools.
Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained in various types of equipment and processes.
Ability to use high-speed pneumatic/battery powered tools (drills, drivers etc.) and hand tools safely and effectively.
Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy and hazardous material guidelines.
Must practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior assembly, construction, and/or mechanic experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
