Lead and grow the campaign's statewide surrogate and ambassador program by building relationships with community and political leaders. Coordinate between political, communications, and creative teams to provide surrogates with messaging, toolkits, and media opportunities.
Requires 3-5 years of experience in campaigns, communications, or public affairs with exceptional writing and project management skills. Proficiency with political tools like NGP and VAN is preferred, along with the ability to work nights and weekends.

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered campaign rooted in grassroots support, integrity, and the belief that politics should work for everyday Texans. James Talarico's campaign for the U.S. Senate will focus heavily on coordinating closely with local leaders and community organizations across the state who are most connected to the issues that matter to Texans.
To support this work, we are seeking a full-time Political Surrogates Manager to lead the campaign's statewide ambassador and surrogate program. This role will serve as the bridge between the Political, Communications, and Creative teams, ensuring that trusted messengers—including elected officials, community leaders, faith leaders, labor leaders, advocates, and other validators—are equipped with the messaging, resources, and opportunities they need to effectively amplify the campaign.

James was born at Round Rock Hospital. After graduating from McNeil High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in government from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University. James taught 6th grade at an underserved public school where he worked with kids and families to close the gaps in his classroom. He now serves as the local Executive Director of a nonprofit that provides innovative technology to thousands of our students. James is committed to working with everyone — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents — to move Texas forward.
