Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor
Location: Wooreen Project in Traralgon Victoria
Join our team and help create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to support the implementation of HSE policies, programs, and initiatives across our operations. This role plays a key part in fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
Monitor workplace conditions and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and opportunities for improvement.
Provide guidance and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of HSE requirements.
Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with managers, employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety-first culture and environmental responsibility.
Participate in risk assessments, emergency preparedness activities, and environmental monitoring programs.
Assist in the preparation of HSE performance reports and recommendations for management review.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment, Occupational Safety, or a related role.
Strong understanding of local HSE regulations and industry standards.
Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, hazard identification, and corrective action planning.
Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and training programs.
Professional HSE certification is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting systems.
