Summary: Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, this role is responsible for building relationships with fundraising volunteers while implementing innovative peer-to-peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for Blood Cancer United's mission within a designated market area.
Core Responsibilities/ Primary Duties
Mission Integration
Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
Responsible for organizing mission centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting high-impact donors for national stewardship activities
Fundraising & Relationship Building
Drive high-impact peer to peer fundraising to achieve overall revenue goals.
Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the peer-to-peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals and timelines.
Execute innovative strategic plan developed annually and revised periodically to ensure team exceeds all revenue goals.
Collaborate with local relationship team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United.
Volunteer and Network Management
Responsible for the recruitment and cultivation of high-level volunteer committees
Responsible for recruiting fundraising volunteers who participate in peer-to-peer fundraising products resulting in revenue growth and achievement of goals.
Identify and network with constituents and key donors to engage their support of Blood Cancer United fundraising products.
Develop recruitment plans and actively secure new partners through independent research, prospecting and volunteer relationship building.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2 - 4 years’ experience in a directly relatable role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Incumbents are expected to demonstrate continued knowledge building of campaign success requirements and execution, including KPIs. Work is typically focused on moderately complex accounts, such as corporate accounts.
General market, community and constituent perspective is shown in pipeline development. Demonstrates proven strength in relationship building, volunteer recruitment, and sales skills.
Demonstrates ability to successfully manage individual accounts of 5-figures+; Planning and owning campaign development and resource management
Successfully demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Knowledge of multiple sales channels including digital and social media
Strong collaboration skills with Mission Teams and other organizational partners
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
Ability to influence and persuade others

We are excited to share the base pay range for this non-exempt, hourly position is $40/hr ($73K/yr) to $42/hour ($78K/yr). The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
