About the role
Under the supervision of the Program Manager/Program Design Coordinator , or designate, the Program Coordinator will provide direct support to the program and assist managers in achieving program outcomes.
What you'll do
Coordinate and support work placement activities, including assisting placement centres with placement needs, identifying new placement opportunities, and addressing ad hoc placement requests, particularly in communities where placements are not currently established.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with placement centres, community partners, and other stakeholders to support successful work placement opportunities.
Support the ongoing procurement, coordination, and sustainability of work placement sites across Saskatchewan.
Maintain accurate and organized program records, including oversight of master lists, work placement payments, and file management processes.
Monitor and update program information on the organization's website to ensure content remains current and accurate.
Collaborate with Managers to ensure program delivery aligns with organizational standards, policies, outcomes, and funding requirements.
Complete administrative responsibilities, including data collection, documentation, and annual program outcome reporting.
Promote programs by engaging with community partners, participating in outreach initiatives, and providing information to placement centres, service providers, and individuals accessing services.
Travel throughout Saskatchewan as required to build partnerships, support program delivery, and meet with community stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
This role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional driving throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to move safely between work areas and perform routine office tasks efficiently.
The position also requires the ability to regularly push and pull filing drawers and retrieve, organize, and store paper files and documents. Successful candidates will possess the physical mobility and stamina to safely perform these duties while maintaining an organized and productive work environment.

Qualifications
Education:
Secondary education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or Community Colleges or University Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or minimum 1 year of practical experience working with individuals impacted by socio-economic issues including homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare
Practical Experience:
Working knowledge and experience with individuals impacted by socio-economic issues, including: homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare system.
Working with a range of diverse clients, indiscriminate of: age, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, socio-economic status, religious preference, etc.
Other:
First Aid/CPR, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Food Safe would be considered an asset.
Valid / Insurable Saskatchewan Driver’s License, insurable to drive clients in JHSS-owned vehicles.
Cleared Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, completed three (3) months prior to start date.
Capability:
Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Requires flexibility and should be able to work varying shifts
