The Child and Youth Counsellor will provide crisis intervention and multidisciplinary assessments for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues. Responsibilities include developing programming, offering individual and family counselling, and mentoring students and new staff.
Candidates must hold a three-year community college diploma in Child and Youth Counselling and have experience in paediatric psychiatry. Eligibility for OACYC membership and valid CPR/First Aid certification are also required.
The Child and Youth Counsellor will be a part of the multidisciplinary team that offers crisis intervention and multidisciplinary assessments for children and adolescents who have complex and severe mental health issues in programs across the MH PSU.
Timeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs.

Please note that location may be subject to change at any time at the discretion of the employer. All OPSEU members shall be granted an interview upon passing the pre-screening. Pre-screening might include testing.
