Responsible for stacking, storing, and retrieving poultry product pallets from freezer and blast freezer racks. Ensures warehouse quality and maintains a safe working environment for all personnel.
Requires at least one year of shipping/receiving experience and a valid forklift/power jack license with one year of operating experience. Must be able to communicate in English and handle physically demanding work in extreme temperature conditions.

Job purpose
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Freezer Hand/ Forklift Operator is responsible for stacking, storing, and retrieving pallets of product from the freezer racks, and for removing pallets from the blast freezer for restacking and stocking purposes.

Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, moving machinery, noise, and humidity that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Physical requirements
Physical Effort: Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirement to lift or handle or carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Repetitive use of knives.
Physical Environment: Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and toxic materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Sensory Attention: Regular need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening.
Mental Stress: Work and environment tend to be repetitious or unchanging. Some pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. There could be some mildly unpleasant social contacts and/or some concern about possible unpleasant situations.
