Le Bureau de la pratique de l’enseignement (BPE) du Campus Saint-Jean est un milieu dynamique où la flexibilité et l’adaptabilité sont essentielles. Le titulaire du poste de coordonnateur ou coordonnatrice des stages relève du gestionnaire du Bureau des stages. Le coordonnateur ou la coordonnatrice des placements travaille en étroite collaboration avec les associés au BPE, qui sont en prêt de service des divisions scolaires de l’Alberta en vertu d’une entente entre le Campus Saint-Jean et l’Alberta Teachers’ Association. Le coordonnateur ou coordonnatrice des placements joue un rôle clé dans l’orientation des nouveaux membres de l’unité afin de les familiariser avec les échéanciers, les politiques et les procédures du BPE.
Le poste est responsable du fonctionnement quotidien de la base de données des stages, laquelle est utilisée pour faciliter et enregistrer environ 1 200 stages d’enseignement effectués chaque année par les étudiants de premier cycle inscrits aux programmes d’éducation du Campus Saint-Jean. Le système de gestion de base de données en ligne du Bureau des stages fonctionne sur la nouvelle plateforme campusBRIDGE.
Le coordonnateur ou la coordonnatrice des placements utilise cette base de données pour enregistrer les informations relatives aux étudiants, aux enseignants associés, aux superviseurs de l'université, aux écoles et aux districts scolaires. Les besoins du programme de l’étudiant sont jumelés aux informations de l’école pour créer les stages d’enseignement.
En collaboration avec les associés aux stages, le coordonnateur ou la coordonnatrice des placements sera responsable de la coordination des stages dans la région de Calgary et en ligne. Cette personne est responsable de la mise à jour des listes à des fins de communication et de suivi des stages, et fournit des rapports statistiques
sur les stages au gestionnaire du BPE. Ce poste comporte de multiples facettes et exige des compétences telles que le sens de l’organisation, la capacité de travailler de façon autonome, la précision, la fiabilité et un grand souci du détail, en plus de nécessiter un fort esprit d’équipe. Une attitude positive et un engagement à travailler dans un environnement d’équipe axé sur l’amélioration continue et la prestation d’un service positif aux étudiants sont essentiels pour ce poste.
