JOB DESCRIPTION:
Packages Injection products manually, operates auxiliary equipment and performs quality functions to ensure product meets quality criteria. Follow all work processes implemented in the department, all safety and Company guidelines as outlined in Cambro Employee Handbook. Conduct training of Level I Packers on existing work process and/or new work process. Maintain a high level of work performance and master Level I Packer job duties. May be required to assume additional roles in the Injection department such as making carton and UPC labels, movement tickets for WIP and FG product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Train employees on work process in Assembly and Production floor.
Able to operate auxiliary equipment: Hot stamp, Milling, Router, Spin Welder, Hot Plate Welder, Glue gun, Band Saw.
Able to Perform Multi-task jobs autonomously: Shrink wrap, wine coolers, Meal Delivery Service Domes, DSPR6 and multiple machines while meeting production standards.}
Ensures quality standards are maintained in handling, packaging and finishing of all products packaged.
Labels Cartons, W.I.P., or products accurately. Verifies box and UPC label accuracy with packaged product.
Inspects product at each step of packaging and/or secondary process for quality defects. Performs necessary rework steps such as trimming, cleaning or clipping as required to adhere to quality standards.
Recognize and report any problems, issues, discrepancies, or questions to Process Technician and/or Supervisor in a timely fashion.
Must be able to read and understand instructions for assembly, packaging and operating secondary machinery.
Fill out and maintain required data on production related forms.
Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Supervisor with assignments and special projects.
Eliminates waste and improves work processes by use of observations.
Able to meet or exceed standards for work assignments in the Assembly department: punch bowl assembly, latches, faucet assembly, DD’s, RD’s, etc.
Maintains a clean and organized work station. Maintains strict housekeeping guidelines.
Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to six months related experience or training in the Level I Packer position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of department. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
