Description
Responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning activities on hydroelectric turbines, generators, and associated equipment at customer sites.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites and project locations as required, including overnight stays using company-provided lodging.
Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and testing on hydroelectric turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
Assist with disassembly, installation, alignment, cleaning, reassembly, and commissioning of hydroelectric equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, specifications, and work instructions.
Conduct equipment inspections and document findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
Communicate project status, technical findings, repair activities, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Complete service reports, inspection records, maintenance documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and within established timelines.
Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment required for field service activities.
Support startup, operational testing, and performance verification of hydroelectric units following maintenance or installation activities.
Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to meet project objectives and customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, site-specific requirements, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all job sites.
Participate in technical training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance job knowledge and service capabilities.
