The Fabrication Programmer uses simulation software to program Cincinnati and Prima panel benders and performs initial set-ups for brakes. They are also responsible for reviewing change management parts, interpreting work orders, and assisting engineering with new product designs.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D and basic computer skills, with a preference for 5 years of fabrication experience. Physical ability to lift 35 pounds and proficiency in reading blueprints and precision measuring tools are required.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.
The shift hours are 6am-2:30pm.

The main function of the Fabrication Programmer is to use Cincinnati bend simulation and bend express software to program both the Cincinnati and the Prima panel bender.
In this function you will:
• Perform initial set-up and updates to the Cincinnati and panel bender brakes.
• Review all change management parts to the fabrication department
• Interpret work orders including; written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings
• Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation
• Review programs with brake operators to make adjustments as needed.
• Be a part of the on-the-job training for new operators
• Asst. engineering in evaluating new product design.
• Keeping the “On hold Rack” clear
• Participate in press brake/EBE improvement activities
• Perform 5S+ responsibilities daily
• Provide backup support for steel/copper machine programming functions (NC Express, Metamation)
• Perform any work-related task assigned by your Supervisor or Manager
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office, Enovia, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 years in fabrication
• DMM experience
• Fluent in press brake operations
• Ability to interpret auto cad drawings and or inventor
• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
• Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures
• Able to read blueprints
• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends as needed.
