Full job description
About the Team
Our Account Development Strategy & Operations team is responsible for designing, building, and running a world-class sales organization to successfully grow our merchants through leading product solutions. This role supports a high-priority business unit within our Commerce Platform.
We are looking for an experienced Manager to help build and scale a new commercial initiative.
About the Role
The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in ambiguity but grounds their work in uncompromising operational rigor. You will be responsible for defining the annual sales vision and strategy, translating high-level company objectives into actionable quarterly sales goals. You will balance long-term strategic vision with the technical and operational discipline required to stand up new functions, audit sales funnels, and leverage cutting-edge AI to maximize productivity. You will report to the Senior Manager of Sales Strategy & Operations, working at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Analytics to turn a research-backed vision into a highly disciplined, scaled revenue engine.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Set the strategic north star: You will help define the annual sales vision, ensuring it aligns with DoorDash’s overarching goal of becoming a merchant's primary growth partner.
Translate Strategy into Execution: You will set and manage rigorous quarterly sales goals, ensuring the team is focused on the right drivers to achieve sustainable, high-velocity growth.
Establish Operational Governance: You will run the cadence of the business, including Weekly Business Reviews, ensuring every lead, opportunity, and deal is tracked with precision.
Build the inbound engine: You will help stand up and optimize a well-functioning inbound function, ensuring we capture and convert interest effectively.
Drive sales acceleration through rigor: You will improve the efficiency of our sales team by implementing tooling and systems updates, and optimizing the sales funnel through meticulous measurement and inspection for where we are succeeding or need improvement.
Innovate with AI: You will lead constant discovery on the latest AI tools and technologies to drive step-function improvements in sales productivity and outreach effectiveness.
We’re excited about you because…
You possess extreme operational discipline: You have a "no stone unturned" approach to operations. You create systems that survive scale and ensure data integrity across all CRM and reporting layers.
You are a 0-to-1 specialist: You love the lowest level of detail. You have a track record of scaling new initiatives within large, complex organizations. You don’t mind getting your hands dirty, moving quickly, and imperfection.
You are an analytical rigorist & truth-seeker: You don't just look at high-level numbers; you dive deep into the funnel to identify root causes. You have a challenger mindset that uses data to guide the team toward the "win-win-win."
You are tech-forward: You are passionate about the future of sales productivity and are eager to experiment with AI-driven tools to give our team a competitive edge.
You are a strategic leader: You can zoom out to see the "ecosystem" while zooming in to fix a broken operational process or tooling issue.
You thrive in multi-stakeholder environments: You can navigate Sales, Product, Analytics, and Planning teams with ease, embodying the "one team, one fight" mentality.
You map complex operational workflows, diagnose data gaps, and architect AI-driven solutions end-to-end—from process discovery through prototype to production deployment. You build in AI tooling (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and ship real automation that eliminates manual work, closes visibility gaps, and accelerates decision-making across the business. You think in systems, not features. You treat every broken process as a build opportunity and every data gap as a use case waiting to be deployed. This is not an AI-curious role; this is an AI-native operating environment where you are expected to build, test, and iterate continuously.
We expect this position to be filled by 9/20/26.
