Full job description
OpsGuru, a Carbon60 Company, is a global engineering and consulting group that helps organizations accelerate digital transformation through cutting-edge technology, deep engineering expertise, and outcome-driven solutions.
About the role:
OpsGuru's value to our customers centres around our ability to provide deep technical guidance based on their business needs. We achieve this by assigning small, virtual teams of highly skilled individuals to each client.
Within these teams, as aSr.Engagement Manager - Enterprise, you will be the primary point of contact for enterprise customers, responsible for orchestrating successful delivery outcomes across complex cloud consulting engagements. You will manage project execution, maintain strong client relationships, drive account growth, and ensure that teams are aligned to deliver technical excellence on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in change management, strong work plan development, and program governance. The candidate should possess a strategic mindset and business acumen. They will be expected to manage a portfolio of interconnected, strategic projects, prepare and present strategic progress updates to executive stakeholders, and proactively identify new business opportunities.
This role requires the skills to not only successfully deliver projects but also act as a trusted advisor, ensuring our teams exceed our standards for excellence and innovation aligned with customers' business goals and expectations.
Objectives of this role:
Lead a portfolio of interconnected projects and large, multi-year programs for strategic enterprise clients. This includes managing dependencies, resource allocation, and a unified communication strategy across multiple projects to ensure alignment with the client's overarching business goals.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing high-level strategic guidance and project updates. You will be expected to manage executive expectations, navigate complex political landscapes, and act as a trusted advisor who can anticipate Customers' future needs.
Oversee the financial health of engagements, from a single project to a full portfolio. This includes a deep understanding of project budgets, revenue forecasting, profitability, and creating financial reports for both the client and internal leadership.
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans. You will coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring all projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure projects meet client expectations. Your expertise in advanced negotiation and conflict resolution will be key to managing the competing priorities of a larger number of stakeholders.
Assist in establishing scalable project management practices within our delivery organization to maximize the efficiency and performance of our engineering teams.
Daily & Monthly Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain scalable project management practices. This includes setting project quality and performance standards, assessing and managing risk within and across multiple projects and programs, and ensuring all team members are tracking time and billing correctly.
Monitor resource needs and allocations across projects to ensure appropriate staffing. Serve as the Senior Engagement Manager on strategic engagements, providing guidance to the broader project team to maximize efficiency and deliverable outputs.
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, change orders, risks, and delivery KPIs for one or more concurrent enterprise engagements.
Ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time, balancing customer needs with internal team capacity.
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels, with the ability to escalate issues as necessary based on project work plans and their potential impact on the enterprise.
Work in close collaboration with the sales team to proactively identify new opportunities for growth within client accounts. You will be instrumental in identifying and driving cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to expand OpsGuru's footprint.
Actively lead and guide clients through the organizational changes associated with enterprise-level projects. You will be responsible for managing the human element of these transformations and ensuring project success.
Actively participate in building and improving delivery processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and scalability.
