Know someone at OMERS or Oxford Properties? Great! If you're referred, have them submit your name through Workday first. Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.
We are looking for an innovative, hands-on Lead Intelligent Automation Developer to join our Agentic Process Automation team and help shape the next generation of automation at OMERS.
As OMERS evolves from traditional robotic process automation toward intelligent, agentic automation, this role will be at the forefront of building end-to-end solutions that combine Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI agents, generative AI, and integrations to solve meaningful business problems. You will help design and deliver automation solutions across corporate functions, capital markets, and private markets enabling teams to work faster, make better decisions, reduce manual effort, and unlock new ways of operating.
The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of business analysis, solution architecture, AI, and automation development skills, enabling them to identify opportunities, define requirements, recommend appropriate technologies, and deliver enterprise-grade agentic automation solutions. You will work across technologies including UiPath, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, and other enterprise AI capabilities to build scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready automation and agentic solutions.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise agentic process automation solutions that combine AI agents, RPA, integrations, and human-in-the loop leveraging UiPath, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem.
Apply UiPath Cloud Platform and Power Platform expertise to design, develop, and enhance intelligent automation solutions, leveraging capabilities such as UiPath Studio, Document Understanding, Integration Service, Action Center, Apps, Communications Mining, AI Center, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
Develop autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents by defining their scope, decision logic, guardrails, confidence thresholds, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, exception handling, audit trails, escalation paths, monitoring requirements to enable effective reasoning, knowledge retrieval, decision-making, and task execution.
Participate in discovery workshops, solutioning and “art of the possible” discussions to analyze processes, identify automation opportunities and recommend fit-for purpose platform or combination of tools based on complexity, effort, maintainability, scalability, security, cost, risk, and business outcomes.
Design multi-agent workflows and orchestration patterns
Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and automation platforms.
Modernize existing RPA solutions by incorporating AI and agentic capabilities where appropriate.
Define and execute testing strategies for automation and AI-enabled solutions, including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, AI response validation, confidence threshold validation, exception scenarios, human review workflows, and model output verification.
Prepare project documentation including solution designs, runbooks, deployment manifests, process maps, and technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, development best practices, governance standards, and guidance to junior developers.
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of automation solutions, including development, maintenance, support, upgrades, operational stability, and availability
Partner with AI Delivery, AI Strategy, Data, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams when solutions require advanced AI patterns, reusable intelligence services, custom model components, or deeper AI architecture expertise.
Required Skills & Experience:
3-5+ years of advanced hands-on experience with UiPath Cloud Platform, Power Platform and Intelligent Automation technologies leveraging capabilities such as UiPath Studio, Document Understanding, Integration Service, Action Center, Apps, Communications Mining, AI Center, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
Understanding of prompt engineering, prompt configuration, AI service consumption patterns, confidence scoring, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and responsible AI principles.
Experience designing Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows for AI-enabled solutions.
Experience building automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes for automation and AI solutions.
Ability to assess and recommend technology platforms and solution architectures based on business objectives, risk, scalability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience facilitating workshops, partner engagement sessions, and solution design discussions.
Ability to mentor developers and perform code reviews.
Preferred Skills & Experience
UiPath Solution Architect or UiPath Advanced Developer Certification.
Hands-on experience developing AI Agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility and declarative agents, or similar agentic platforms.
Experience in process analysis/improvement and software development roles.
Experience conducting requirements gathering sessions, business process analysis and mapping, stakeholder workshops, process assessments, and SME interviews.
Knowledge of AI governance, explainability, auditability, monitoring, escalation paths, exception handling, model evaluation, and responsible AI
Experience implementing enterprise agentic AI solutions using multi-agent architectures.
Certifications in Microsoft AI, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Business Analysis, or related technologies.
