The specialist manages the daily intake and processing of offenders into the Community Corrections tracking system. They are responsible for interpreting sentencing documents, screening criminal records, and coordinating community service activities.
Requirements
Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applicants are required to pass a Level 2 background check and must be authorized to work in the United States.
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Circuit13-C Tampa Intake in the office of probation and parole.
This position manages offender intake and processing in Community Corrections,including data entry, document interpretation, activity coordination, criminal record screening, and ensuring data security and quality.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
Manage daily intake and processing of offenders into the Community Corrections’ tracking system (OBIS), including score sheet entry.
Interpret, code, and enter offender sentencing and monetary obligation documents using relevant databases and manuals.
Verify offender data and sentencing information to establish initial records and assist with orientation programs.
Request and screen criminal record information from various law enforcement databases and prepare prior record reports.
Coordinate and monitor offender community service activities, job needs and ensure security and quality assurance in data management.
