Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
Monitor regulatory developments across Australia, assess business impacts and support the implementation of regulatory change initiatives.
Develop and deliver compliance education and awareness activities that strengthen understanding of regulatory obligations across the business.
Build trusted relationships across Legal, Risk, Product, Technology and Operational teams to provide practical and commercially balanced compliance advice.
Support engagement with regulators and external stakeholders, working closely with the Director, Compliance Advisory on regulatory matters.
What you'll bring to the team
Zipsters work on a broad range of initiatives, and our skills and experiences all look a little different. What really matters to us is that you're a great fit with our four Values, and have a desire to learn and grow.
So whether you meet some or all of the desirable attributes below, we'd still love to hear from you.
Typically 5+ years' experience in compliance, risk, legal or a related discipline within financial services, fintech or another regulated industry.
A sound understanding of the regulatory frameworks applicable to consumer credit and financial services, including Australian Credit Licence, Australian Financial Services Licence, Design and Distribution Obligations and privacy requirements.
Experience providing practical compliance advice and supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks and regulatory change initiatives.
Experience preparing governance reporting, compliance insights and regulatory submissions.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide commercially balanced advice.
Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. Whether you are a People Manager or an Individual Contributor, we are all leaders at Zip, therefore effective risk management is important to how we run our business and part of all our roles.
Our values in your DNA. Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game.
