Position Summary:
Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our team. We offer a professional and collaborative environment where efficiency, organization, and client service are key. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Location & Commitments:
Practice Area / Department: Litigation
Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
Work Location: Hybrid / In-Office options available for this position.
Must be able to commute to Jacksonville, FL office.
Responsibilities:
Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.
Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials.
Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Competencies:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings.
Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance.
Proficiency in administrative tasks.
Works well in a team environment.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Must meet billing goal expectations.
