The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for the safe administration of medications and providing personalized care to residents according to their service plans. They also monitor resident health status, perform routine wellness services, and maintain a safe, clean environment while documenting care accurately.
Candidates must be a Certified Nurse Aide with a valid Medication Aide permit and have previous CNA experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with strong clinical skills and knowledge of HIPAA and infection control protocols.

The role of the Certified Medication Aide involves delivering personalized care and support to community residents based on their individualized service and care plans. Working under the guidance of the Resident Care Director or Assistant Resident Care Director, they are certified to administer medications and offer routine wellness services to residents, adhering closely to established nursing care protocols and following the supervisor’s directives.
