The Surgical Tech is responsible for preparing the operating room by selecting and sterilizing instruments using aseptic techniques. They assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs, managing the operative field, and ensuring accurate counts of sponges and sharps.
Candidates are preferred to have one year of experience and a certification for surgical technicians. Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and the ability to provide age-specific care across the human lifespan are required.
