The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, nursing units, and administrative areas, including mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. Additionally, the role involves managing hospital linen, restocking medical supplies, and performing daily inventory of cleaning equipment.
Candidates must have a minimum of a 10th-grade education. Previous institutional housekeeping experience is preferred, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

All with rotating weekend responsibilities.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, administrative offices, waiting areas and public restrooms, as well as launder all hospital linen. Using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, housekeepers wipe equipment, clean furniture, mop floors and vacuum carpets. This position is responsible for making beds, emptying trash and restocking medical supplies. Housekeepers may also collect dirty linen from client areas and distribute the clean linen back to the appropriate floors. Using cleaning supplies and equipment are an essential part of the position, which is why housekeepers take a daily inventory as well as inspect their equipment for cleanliness and necessary repairs.
Education Level
Minimum of completed 10th grade education required.
Years of Experience
Institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
