Duties and Responsibilities:
MaintainoverallSportsMedicineDepartmentincludinginjury care and prevention, injuryevaluationand management,educating ofstudent-athletes and coaches.
Maintainaccuratemedical documentation for student-athletes.
Ensure proper injury and treatment tracking ofstudent-athletes.
Establish andmaintaingood communicationwith team physicians (Orthopedic and Sports Medicine).
Contribute to the growth of thedepartment by bringingnew ideasabout Nutrition, Cardiac Health, Mental Wellness, Concussion research, etc. to theSportsMedicinestaff.
Assistin the management of the day-to-day operations of the athletic training room.
Responsible for proper coverageduringathleticparticipation ofstudent-athletes, including practice and game coverage, both home and away of assigned teams.
Maintain confidentiality of student-athlete injuries and illnesses.
Perform other duties and responsibilities asrequired.

Certification through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Twoyears of experience in the athletic training profession.
AED/CPR Certified (Professional Rescuer).
Error-free written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Athletic Trainingor related field.
Two years of experience working in Division I or Division II collegiate athletics.
Knowledge ofSportsWareinjury tracking system.
Experiencemaintainingfiles and documentation.
Experience with insurance claims andfiling process.
Experience withmaintainingconfidentiality.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The anticipated hiring range is $50,000 - $60,000.
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
