About Filta
Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions helps restaurants and commercial kitchens operate more safely, efficiently, and sustainably through specialized maintenance and environmental services.
We are a growing, entrepreneurial company where initiative, accountability, and relationships matter. Every employee has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, influence how we operate, and grow alongside the business.
About the Role
This is not a traditional account management position.
We're looking for a true hunter—someone who enjoys creating opportunities where no relationship exists today.
Success is measured by consistently creating new business through field prospecting, cold outreach, networking, referrals, and face-to-face conversations with restaurant owners, chefs, kitchen managers, facility managers, and other decision-makers.
If you enjoy waiting for inbound leads or primarily managing an existing book of business, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
If you enjoy walking into businesses, introducing yourself, asking thoughtful questions, building trust, and creating long-term customer relationships, we'd love to meet you.
As your territory grows, you'll maintain the commercial relationships you develop, identify opportunities for additional services, and partner with Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This role offers a clear path toward future sales leadership and broader organizational responsibility.
What You'll Do
New Business Development (Primary Focus)
Develop new commercial customers throughout Northern Bay Area.
Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, and frequent in-person visits.
Build relationships with restaurant owners, chefs, kitchen managers, facility managers, and decision-makers.
Conduct site visits, recommend Filta solutions, prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and meet or exceed sales goals.
Territory & Customer Growth
Maintain commercial relationships with customers you bring into the business.
Identify opportunities to expand services.
Partner with Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Collaboration & Communication
Maintain accurate CRM records.
Share market intelligence and customer feedback.
Participate in sales meetings, training, and company initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
Create opportunities instead of waiting for leads.
Enjoy meeting new people and opening new doors.
Remain persistent through rejection and long sales cycles.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Take ownership of your territory and results.
Think like a business owner while collaborating effectively.
Qualifications
We're less concerned with industry experience than demonstrated success creating new business.
· 3+ years of outside sales, territory sales, or business development experience preferred. Equivalent demonstrated success will also be
considered.
· Outside Sales, Territory Sales, Commercial Sales, B2B Business Development, Field Sales, Hospitality Sales, Restaurant Sales, Food Service, Commercial Equipment, Facility Services, or Industrial Sales experience.
· Proven success generating new customers.
· Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospect to close.
· Strong consultative selling and communication skills.
· CRM proficiency, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
· Must reside in Northern California. Relocation assistance is not available.
