The Sr. Energy Storage Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and technical review of utility-scale BESS projects throughout their entire lifecycle. They will also provide subject matter expertise to support construction, commissioning, and long-term operations while ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in utility-scale BESS and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. A strong background in EPC execution, project lifecycle management, and proficiency with industry-standard engineering tools is required.

Title : Sr. Energy Storage Engineer
As a part of the Engineering team, the Sr. Energy Storage Engineer will provide subject matter expertise on Energy Storage design, optimization, final engineering, and construction permitting of utility-scale energy storage projects. The Sr. Energy Storage Engineer will have the ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. The Sr. Energy Storage Engineer will also have excellent organizational skills, be able to manage multiple projects at once, have excellent follow-through skills, and will have the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Support procurement by performing technical evaluations, developing approved vendor lists, and managing technical bid evaluations.
Support Operations & Maintenance teams by providing troubleshooting and long-term technical guidance. Review emerging energy storage technologies and support pilot projects for next-generation storage solutions. Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Energy Storage across the organization.
The position requires up to 15% domestic and international travels.
Location-Redwood City, Anywhere in CA or Denver, CO. Open for remote for right candidates.
Base Pay -$100000-$140000
The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our teams. The compensation range provided reflects base pay. Total rewards may also include performance-based bonuses, equity grants, and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
