Requires AHPRA medical registration, PGY4 status, and specific experience in intensive care (6 months) and emergency medicine (3 months). Must hold current ALS2 and BASICS certifications or equivalents.

A twelve-month position is available to prospective anaesthetic trainees seeking broad clinical experience within a specialist medical and surgical oncology centre. Over the course of the 12-months, successful candidates will spend approximately one-third of their time in the operating theatre, working under the supervision of consultant anaesthetists and fellows; one-third in perioperative/pain medicine; and one-third of their time in perioperative and resuscitation medicine. This position is based within the Department of Anaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Medicine at Australia’s premier oncology hospital. This position offers an excellent opportunity to establish and develop skills in anaesthesia, acute pain management, peri-operative medicine and resuscitation within a friendly, supportive, and research- focused department. This position is closely aligned and rostered with similar positions tailored towards an intensive care stream, providing a rich multidisciplinary learning environment and strong exposure to high-acuity perioperative care. |
