At the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), we are dedicated to carrying out meaningful work that drives improvements and elevates student achievement across NSW, now and into the future.
We accomplish this by supporting all school sectors with high-quality syllabuses, assessment (including managing the HSC and NAPLAN), teaching standards (e.g., accrediting teachers) and school environments (including setting and monitoring school standards).

About the role
If you are a proactive administrator who enjoys supporting customer-focused teams in a dynamic environment, this is a great opportunity to join the Teaching Standards and Accreditation directorate at NESA!
As an Administration Support Officer, you’ll provide high-quality internal administrative and data support and deliver responsive customer service to teachers and key stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and records, while supporting events, panels and daily operations.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
Providing a range of administrative services including correspondence, record management and event coordination
Completing routine financial transactions and bookings in line with NESA procedures
Responding to written and phone enquiries, escalating as needed
Updating and maintaining accurate records and databases, including within the CRM system
Supporting the smooth operation of the Teaching Standards and Accreditation Directorate
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience managing multiple administrative support tasks with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service
The ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and confidently respond to enquiries from external stakeholders, including teachers
Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems to manage data, bookings, and correspondence
Essential requirements:
Appropriate knowledge, skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems
The ability to work flexible hours. The successful applicant will be required to work in the office a minimum 3 days a week or as required.
