About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our Health & Home team and lead one of our most complex and strategically important categories; Laundry. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end category strategy, driving growth, profitability, and market share through customer-focused planning, strong supplier partnerships, and data-led decision making.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing category plans, managing a large and diverse supplier portfolio, and identifying innovative opportunities to enhance customer value. This is a high-impact role where you’ll balance commercial outcomes with long-term strategy in a challenging but rewarding category.

You’ll also:

• Develop and implement category strategy to deliver growth, profit, and market share targets
• Build and execute annual business and promotional plans aligned to commercial outcomes
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle including sourcing, pricing, and promotional activity
• Lead supplier relationships, negotiate commercial outcomes, and deliver joint business plans
• Use customer, market, and performance data to identify opportunities and drive better decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver initiatives and improve customer experience

About you and your skills

We’re seeking a commercially minded and resilient category professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You’ll bring strong experience from FMCG or retail, with the ability to navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and manage large-scale supplier relationships.

You’ll also ideally have:

• Proven buying/category management experience within FMCG or retail
• Experience managing large, complex suppliers and broad product portfolios
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability
• High level of resilience and ability to succeed in a challenging, competitive category
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong capability in data analysis and turning insights into action
• Line management experience (highly regarded but not essential)
