The ProjectSupervisor HVAC – Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Divisionis responsible for overseeing daily field operations, providing technical guidance, and ensuring commercial refrigeration and air conditioning projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company and customer standards. This role provides leadership and support to technicians, coordinates field activities, and ensures quality workmanship, productivity, and compliance with safety requirements.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, field supervision, troubleshooting, and team coordination. This position works closely with technicians, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support successful project execution and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support refrigeration and air conditioning technicians in daily field operations.
Coordinate manpower, work assignments, schedules, tools, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution.
Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and assistance with complex refrigeration and HVAC issues.
Review project requirements, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to support field activities.
Conduct site visits and monitor progress to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to standards.
Perform quality inspections to ensure installations, repairs, and service work meet company and customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable codes.
Promote safe work practices and support safety initiatives, including toolbox meetings and hazard assessments.
Assist technicians with system startup, commissioning, and performance verification of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, dispatch, suppliers, and customers regarding schedules, progress, and technical requirements.
Support training, mentoring, and development of refrigeration and HVAC technicians.
Monitor productivity, workmanship, and job completion timelines.
Assist with material planning, equipment requirements, and resolving field-related issues.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback processes as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Previous experience in a supervisory, lead technician, or field leadership role is strongly preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of commercial refrigeration equipment, air conditioning systems, piping, controls, and related components.
Experience with supermarket refrigeration, rooftop units, split systems, chillers, or VRF systems is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, refrigeration piping layouts, and mechanical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
Experience mentoring and supporting field technicians.
Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.

This role plays an important part in supporting the performance and continued growth of the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Division.
