The Lead Surveyor will manage surveying projects from inception to completion, including fieldwork, data analysis, and the preparation of reports and legal descriptions. They are also responsible for supervising and mentoring junior staff while collaborating with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in surveying or Geomatics and possess a valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license for the state of Georgia. A minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role, is required.

The Role
The Lead Surveyor - Department Head will play a critical role in overseeing and managing surveying projects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position involves leading a team of surveyors and technicians, coordinating fieldwork, and analyzing data to produce precise land surveys. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed reports and documentation that support project objectives and client requirements. Additionally, the Lead Surveyor will engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings and provide expert recommendations. Ultimately, this role is essential for delivering high-quality surveying services that meet the needs of our diverse clientele in surrounding areas. The position may work from our Atlanta, Raleigh, Richmond or Charlotte office.
