The Project Engineer supports the delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects by creating coordinated structural solutions from design through construction. Responsibilities include preparing design plans, calculations, and specifications while coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in bridge and structural engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, and EIT or PE licensure is highly preferred.

The Project Engineer on the Bridges & Structures team supports the delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects across California by contributing to coordinated structural solutions that meet agency requirements, project constraints, and constructability needs from design through construction. We are seeking three Bridges & Structures engineers to support projects in the Northern California, Central California, and Southern California regions.
Responsibilities
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.
Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.
