The Buyer is responsible for supporting the development and execution of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and commercial activities across assigned Indirect spend categories and projects throughout Monogram Food Solutions.
This individual contributor role partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, IT, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and other business stakeholders to competitively source goods and services, negotiate commercial terms, manage supplier relationships, support contracting activities, and ensure effective execution of procurement strategies.
This position will support a portfolio of Indirect spend and enterprise initiatives, with primary responsibilities that include capital equipment and projects, and other categories as assigned.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial judgement, analytical capability, sourcing discipline, and stakeholder management skills to deliver measurable value, mitigate commercial and supply risk, and support the continued development of Monogram Food Solutions’ enterprise Indirect Procurement function.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Lead competitive sourcing initiatives across assigned Indirect categories and projects, including sourcing strategy development, RFx execution, proposal analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, and implementation.
Develop fact-based commercial recommendations considering business requirements, supplier capabilities, market conditions, cost drivers, risk, and total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) to optimize spend, commercial terms, and supplier value.
Commercial Negotiation & Contracting
Lead supplier negotiations across pricing, payment terms, service levels, delivery requirements, warranties, and other commercial terms to achieve competitive value and mitigate risk.
Partner with Legal and business stakeholders through contract development and execution, ensuring negotiated terms are accurately reflected and material commercial risks, scope changes, and additional costs are appropriately reviewed and approved.
Capital & Project Procurement
Lead procurement activities for capital equipment and project-based requirements, including engineering, constructions, automation, installation, and related services, in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders.
Manager the commercial procurement lifecycle from sourcing and supplier evaluation through negotiations, contracting, purchase order issuance, delivery, installation, and project closeout, evaluating total project cost, payment milestones, lead times, freight, commissioning, training, warranty, service, and commercial risk.
Category & Supplier Management
Support the development and execution of category strategies across assigned indirect spend, leveraging market intelligence, industry trends, cost drivers, and supply-risk insights to identify sourcing and value-creation opportunities.
Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance across cost, quality, service, delivery, and contractual obligations, driving business reviews, corrective actions, continuous improvement, innovation, and supplier consolidation opportunities.
Cost Management & Value Creation
Identify, quantify, negotiate, and implement cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity, and value-creation opportunities across assigned categories and projects.
Perform bid, cost, and TCO analyses, partnering with Finance and business stakeholders to validate financial impact and support accurate savings and performance reporting.
QualificationsQualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered
4+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, or related commercial experience
Demonstrated experience leading competitive sourcing activities, evaluating supplier proposals, and negotiating pricing and commercial terms
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with cost analysis and TCO
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple sourcing initiatives and project while effectively partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft programs (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
Preferred
Experience within manufacturing, food manufacturing, CPG, or another complex multi-site operating environment
Experience sourcing capital equipment, engineering, construction, technical services, automation, technical services or other project-based spend
Experience across additional Indirect categories such as logistics, warehousing, transportation, IT, or other indirect spend
Experience with ERP/P2P, sourcing, contract management, supplier management, or procurement analytics systems
