In addition, you will be a key leader within the Los Angeles, as well as a member of the West Coast Human Resources Team. You will have the opportunity to focus on a variety of tasks including employee relations, talent acquisition, leaves of absence, on-boarding, and departures.
What You'll Do
HR Operations – Collaborate with the West Coast HR team to pride day-to-day operational support for local staff. We will work together to manage the life cycle of our BCGers and the day-to-day operations of HR. Overseeing LOAs of all types and owning the employee exit process. Supporting team members with on-boarding, benefits, transfers, and other inquiries as needed.
Office Leadership – Developing trusting relationships with and act as a coach and mentor to BST managers. Partnering with BST managers on staff planning activities, performance feedback preparation, performance improvement plans, and employee exits as needed. Delivering presentations in staff forums on HR related topics.
Employee Relations – Partnering with Office Leadership, Business Services Managers, and employees to address a variety of workplace and employee relations issues and topics. Interpreting, implementing and answering inquiries related to HR policies and procedures. When necessary, working with internal legal team.
Other duties as needed to support the team.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Specialty in Business or HR preferred. Strong understanding of California HR legal environment.
Five+ years of human resources management experience in a progressive HR department
Experience in a high touch environment with professional staff. Professional services experience is a plus.
Candidates must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment, keeping with BCG’s values and culture.
Strong communication skills; able to communicate confidently, articulately and with precision. Able to influence multiple stakeholders to adopt a new point of view.

Format: At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person work is essential to our culture, mentorship, and professional development. That's why we operate on a hybrid model, with the expectation that team members will be in the office 3 to 5 days per week. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work.
Compensation Information: Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.
The base salary range for this role is $ $112,000-$138,667. This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.

We pay the full cost of medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees – and their eligible family members. That’s zero dollars in premiums taken from employee paychecks. Zero dollar ($0) health insurance premiums for BCG employees, spouses, and children
Low $10 (USD) copays for trips to the doctor, urgent care visits and prescriptions for generic drugs
Dental coverage, including up to $5,000 in orthodontia benefits
Vision insurance with coverage for both glasses and contact lenses annually
Reimbursement for gym memberships and other fitness activities
Fully vested retirement contributions made annually, whether you contribute or not, plus the option for employees to make personal contributions to a 401(k) plan
Paid Parental Leave and other family benefits such as elective egg freezing, surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement
Generous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month)
Paid sick time on an as needed basis
Employees, spouses, and children are covered at no cost. Employees share in the cost of domestic partner coverage.
