The Patient Care Assistant supports the unit by performing essential patient care duties including bathing, positioning, and transporting patients. Additionally, they are responsible for performing EKGs, Glucometer POC tests, and assisting with dietary tasks under RN supervision.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a current BLS certification. CNA certification and a certificate in conflict resolution or de-escalation (e.g., MOAB, CPI) are preferred or required within a specific timeframe.

Education: A high school diploma or GED. Certified Nursing Assistant training preferred
Experience: Previous receptionist / hospital unit secretarial experience preferred
Licenses/Certificates: CNA Certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire (Certification must be current prior to being release from Orientation status and providing independant patient care without an assigned preceptor).
Certificate of Completion of a formal program that meets regulatory standards in Conflict resolution, de-escalation and teaches physical intervention techniques. Must have on hire or obtained within 90 days of hire (I.e. MOAB, CPI or equivalent)
