Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)
Salary: A competitive salary from £30,880 – £46,320 depending on the experience you can bring
Closing date: 14th August 2026
People are living longer and we’re excited by the opportunities this brings to help people live their best lives. We’re here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it – however grand or humble their ambitions.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.
We're looking for a Learning Systems & Data Specialist to play a key role in the management, governance and continuous improvement of Aegon's learning environment. This is a fixed-term role to cover a colleague's parental leave and offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining systems administration, reporting and stakeholder management, while helping to ensure colleagues have access to a robust and effective learning experience.
As a subject matter expert for our Learning Management System (LMS), you'll be responsible for managing learning allocations, monitoring compliance, producing insightful reporting and supporting governance activities across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues across HR, Risk, Compliance and the wider business, you'll ensure our learning framework continues to meet both regulatory and business requirements.
Alongside the day-to-day management of our learning systems and reporting activities, you'll support a significant business change and transformation programme. This will involve coordinating learning-related change activity, supporting system and process enhancements, and helping to deliver an efficient and effective learning environment that meets the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
Own and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring an effective and compliant learning experience for colleagues.
Manage mandatory and non-mandatory learning allocations and oversee associated governance activities.
Produce and analyse learning compliance reporting and management information, providing insights to key stakeholders.
Partner with HR, Risk, Compliance and business teams to support regulatory learning requirements and organisational development initiatives.
Support learning-related activity within a significant business change and transformation programme, managing plans, risks, communications and stakeholder engagement.
Identify and implement improvements to learning systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Experience administering and managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
Strong reporting and data analysis skills, including advanced Excel capability.
Experience producing management information and communicating insights to stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
Experience working within governance, compliance or regulated environments.
Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
Experience supporting system implementations, migrations or business change initiatives.
A background in learning operations, learning technology or compliance learning would be advantageous.
What’s in it for you?
We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments. To find out more about what to expect at Aegon, visit our careers site.
If you're looking for an opportunity to make a real impact on learning operations during a period of transformation, we'd love to receive your application.
