We have an opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our team! The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations of Hasbro’s Boston headquarters and serves as the primary point of contact for workplace and building-related matters. This role works closely with Hasbro employees, the landlord, property management, service providers, and internal collaborators to maintain a safe, comfortable, efficient, and productive workplace.
The Facilities Manager will coordinate building operations, workplace services, vendor relationships, space planning, facilities projects, and related budgets while delivering a high level of service to employees and business partners.
Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday - Thursday at Hasbro's new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim this position will be onsite Tuesday - Thursday at Hasbro's HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro's temporary location in Boston, MA.
A Day in the Life of a Facilities Manager:
Lead and coordinate day-to-day facilities operations for the Boston office.
Serve as Hasbro’s primary facilities liaison with the landlord and property management team, coordinating the resolution of building operations and workplace issues.
Manage facilities-related service providers and vendor relationships, including facilities services, print/copy services and equipment, food services, offsite storage, secure document destruction, vehicle leasing, and other workplace services.
Arrange parking assignments and related concerns among Hasbro employees, the landlord, and the parking garage provider.
Lead workplace space planning and allocation, including accommodations for new hires, employee departures, team changes, and internal moves.
Collaborate with Hasbro’s Employee Engagement and Global Events teams to arrange facilities and workplace support for internal meetings, events, and special activities.
Manage the facilities operating budget, including invoice review and approval, expense tracking, billing dispute resolution and coordination with relevant internal partners.
Collaborate with Hasbro's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team to assist in monitoring and reporting facilities-related sustainability data for the Boston office.
Provide day-to-day mentorship and coordination to facilities coordinators and/or support staff to ensure consistent coverage and service delivery.
Track and report on vendor performance and facilities service levels, using metrics and SLAs to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Contribute to long-range facilities and capital planning, helping identify, prioritize, and plan future workplace investments.
Partner effectively with company management and key functions including Risk Management, IT, Health & Safety, Human Resources, and other collaborators.
Coordinate vendors providing workplace supplies and amenities, including snacks, beverages, coffee, and support for special events.
Find opportunities to improve workplace operations, service levels, employee experience, cost effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Hasbro's Security team to assist in addressing facilities emergencies and urgent building issues as needed.
What You Will Bring:
Four-year degree in a related field preferred.
More than 5 years of applicable experience in facilities management, workplace operations, property management, or a related field.
IFMA or an equivalent professional certification is preferred (CFM – Certified Facility Manager)
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of collaborating effectively across various levels and departments within an organization.
Excellent judgment, organizational abilities, and inventive problem-solving skills, with the capacity to take initiative and work autonomously.
A customer-focused approach and dedication to providing a high-quality workplace experience.
Working knowledge of building and facilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as general construction methods and terminology.
Strong vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation skills.
Experience managing budgets, reviewing invoices, and controlling facilities-related expenses.
Demonstrated experience managing facilities, renovation, or building-related projects within an operational workplace.
Ability and willingness to collaborate with Security and respond to facilities emergencies when necessary.
The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
