The Histotechnician is responsible for supporting the histology laboratory through specimen accessioning, grossing assistance, and performing technical tasks like embedding, microtomy, and staining. They must also maintain laboratory equipment, ensure quality control, and adhere to strict safety and regulatory standards.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting. The role requires strong visual acuity, manual dexterity, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Responsible for consistently supplying support service for the Histology Laboratory which will enable the department to function more efficient and effectively.
