Job Summary:
FMI is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to ensure all products and materials meet our rigorous quality and safety standards before they reach the customer. In this role, you will monitor operations, examine raw materials, inspect in-process production, and inspect finished goods for defects or deviations per specifications. The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical skills, an eye for precision, and a strong understanding of manufacturing and compliance processes.

Our Woonsocket, Rhode Island facility excels in textile engineering, producing advanced 2D woven fabrics, 3D woven preforms, braided preforms and near net shape and fiber-reinforced composites from world-leading materials like carbon, glass, aramid, and ceramic. Our Winston‑Salem, North Carolina facility serves as our composites manufacturing hub, delivering Refrasil® silica cloth, carbonized rayon, and carbon phenolic composites for re‑entry vehicle heatshields.
