Location: We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Zone Supervisorfor the BC Place Stadium.
Sodexo Live! is the Official Supplier of Food and Beverage Services to BC Place Stadium. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to BC Lions, Vancouver White Caps, Concerts and Live events, the facility hosts welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans each year, while generating significant economic activity for the Province.
Job Overview:
Be part of the leadership team delivering food and beverages at BC Place during professional sport, major concerts and live events. The Zone Supervisor leads a group of concession locations within an assigned area and is the key connection between frontline teams and event leadership. You will have direct responsibility for operational readiness, people leadership, guest experience, safety, inventory and in-event decision-making. This role offers broader responsibility than a traditional stand supervisor position and is a strong opportunity for hospitality leaders looking to develop experience in large-scale venue and event operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee multiple concession stands, bars or service locations within an assigned event-day zone.
Lead and support Stand Leaders and frontline teams, providing clear direction, coaching and real-time issue resolution.
Ensure all assigned locations are fully staffed, stocked, organized, merchandised and ready before gates open.
Monitor sales demand, food production, inventory and staffing throughout the event and adjust priorities as conditions change.
Partner with warehouse, culinary, beverage, POS/technology and leadership teams to resolve operational needs quickly.
Maintain food quality, temperature, sanitation, food safety and responsible alcohol service standards.
Support an efficient, welcoming guest experience and resolve service concerns professionally.
Maintain a visible leadership presence and communicate effectively by radio and in person across the operation.
Review inventory counts, transfers, discrepancies and required event paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
Lead assigned closing procedures, including cleaning, product storage, equipment shutdown, security and documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve throughput, presentation, team performance and the overall guest experience.
What You Bring
Previous experience in high-volume hospitality, food and beverage, retail, events or a similar customer-facing operation.
Leadership, supervisory or team-lead experience preferred; strong candidates ready for their first formal supervisory opportunity will also be considered.
Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with a larger event leadership team.
Serving It Right certification required; Food Safe certification is an asset.
Availability for mandatory events, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
