The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing interventions for patients in an acute cardiac unit. They collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop care plans, advocate for patient needs, and ensure effective discharge planning.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved School of Nursing with current BCCNM registration. The role requires completion of a cardiac or high acuity course and at least one year of recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry.
We are currently hiring for a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse, Cardiology to join our Cardiac Inpatient Unit team at Surrey Memorial Hospital located in Surrey, B.C. This position is available until approximately December 2027 or until the return of the incumbent.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, and working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person-centered care, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to patients in an acute medical unit.
Education, Training & Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one (1) year's recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Basic Rescuer Certificate.
